We are thrilled to announce that, for the first time in the program's 28-year history, the women’s softball team will have their own locker room. The new locker room in the Student Recreation and Fitness Center in the North Athletic Complex features 22 lockers, a team lounge, bathroom, and showers. And it will be named for one of our own, Brianne Morgan.
Brianne was an outstanding individual who played softball for Robert Morris in the late 90s before her tragic passing just days after playing in the NCAA play-in game in the 1998 season. It goes without saying that Brianne’s impact extends far beyond the talent she had as a player.
We have been able to honor her legacy by establishing a scholarship in her name that is awarded to softball players who show academic promise. Now we have an amazing opportunity to memorialize Brianne's memory by naming our new softball locker room her.
We are looking to reach a goal of $7,500. We graciously have an anonymous donor who is willing to match the gift if we achieve our goal.
Thank you for your support of keeping her legacy alive by having her name on the locker room. We look forward to achieving this goal!
