Butterfly Books

The Rice University Chapter of Butterfly Books is a student organization dedicated to providing literature to socioeconomically disadvantaged children and children with medical needs. Through interactive read-aloud events at schools, community centers, and hospitals, book bundle donations, and Little Free Libraries, Butterfly Books brings stories directly to children who need them most. To date, the organization has reached more than 30,000 children and donated over 9,000 books, creating meaningful moments of connection, comfort, and inspiration through literature.

Your support will help expand these efforts and bring books to even more children! Donations will fund read-aloud programs at local Title 1 schools and hospitals in the TMC, Book Bundle donations to communities in need, and Little Libraries that foster a love of reading and create lasting educational opportunities.
