Gifts to Blacksmithing at Rice contribute to...
Blacksmithing at Rice is a new club bringing the art of blacksmithing to the Rice community. We have a forging space and basic equipment at the Moody Center, and we host open forge events as well as instructional blacksmithing workshops for anyone at Rice who is interested. We are one of the few universities in the country with a student-run blacksmithing club, and we aim to be the best!
At present, we have many members but are unable to purchase the equipment that would enable more people to use the space due to limited funds. Specifically, we are looking to purchase two additional anvils and two improved forges. If you happen to have any equipment or metal stock you are not using (or know someone who does), we happily accept donations of items in addition to monetary donations.
We are open to all members of the Rice community, including family members and alumni. If you’re on campus, we’d be thrilled to have you stop by. Please email blacksmithingatrice@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Thank you!
