Center for Teaching Excellence

The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) fosters outstanding teaching through evidence-based practices, strong community building, and research in pedagogical sciences. Among peer institutions, the CTE is unique in that it was developed by the faculty, and continues to be supported by a robust community of Faculty Fellows. Fellows are appointed based on outstanding teaching, and play a vital role in disseminating evidence-based teaching methods, driving pedagogical research, and facilitating the application of novel teaching methods across all disciplines.

All donations during the 24-hour challenge support the Faculty Fellows.

• $250,000 will endow the Chair of the Fellows
• $100,000 will endow one Fellow position
• $12,500 will fund the Chair of the Fellows for 1 year
• $5,000 will fund a Fellow position for 1 year
• $1,000 will fund Fellow-hosted events that improve undergraduate education
