Last year, the Field Hockey team faced off against The Mary Washington University Eagles for the 2024 CFHC title. After a hard-fought and driven game, the Lynx ultimately fell. Despite the loss, the Rhodes Field Hockey team ended their season as regular-season champions, with a record of 14-6. The Lynx opened the 2025 season ranked 2nd in the CFHC preseason poll and are poised for another title run this year.
Rhodes Athletics has a deep history and contributes to the fabric of our campus community. The Lynx Championship Culture inspires our student-athletes to excel in the classroom, during competitions, and in the community. These are lofty expectations but goals that our student-athletes and coaches strive to achieve daily. Our goals do not waver, and winning in all three aspects of our culture takes commitment, dedication, and support from alumni, teammates, coaches, parents, faculty, and staff.
Donors play a significant role in our athletic culture, contributing over 30% of our total athletic budget. Your support of the field hockey program assists in our desire to create the best student-athlete experience in DIII athletics. Gifts help operate our program by providing additional funds to compete at the national level, including the costs of travel, meals, team apparel, team culture, and bonding opportunities.
