First-generation students arrive on campus with talent, drive, and big dream, but often without a roadmap.
The Center for Scholar Development, within the Division of Student Success, supports these students from high school through college with programs that foster academic success, personal growth, and preparation for graduate study. Through four TRIO programs and the RIC Preparatory Enrollment Program (PEP), students find the guidance, resources, and community they need to thrive.
Your support helps provide mentoring, academic coaching, and a strong network of belonging—so students don’t just attend college, they succeed.
Invest in first-generation scholars. Help them belong, grow, and achieve their goals.
