About

There’s something truly special forming on the Queens College softball diamond. In three years as head coach of the Knights softball team, Coach Amy Delmore has built up a regional power. Our team is coming off back-to-back 30-win seasons, both of which resulted in NCAA Division II Regional appearances, and last season, we sent off a sensational senior class in the best way possible by winning the East Coast Conference Championship on our home field. Of course none of this would have been possible had it not been for each and every one of you, our cherished supporters.

Please help support this year’s team as we aim to repeat as ECC Championships and qualify for the NCAAs for an unprecedented third time in a row at Queens. Every contribution helps immensely by providing the necessary funds for our team to remain competitive and for all of our student-athletes to have the most memorable collegiate experience.

As you may already know, our student-athletes aren’t just great ballplayers. Each one is just as committed to her studies and personal growth as she is to her performance on the field. In May, we graduated all-American Monique Roberge, who was nominated by the ECC for the 2015 Woman of the Year Award based on her many athletic accomplishments, but also on her academic prowess and her contributions to the Queens College community. While Monique merits this recognition, every young woman in our program is driven toward the same all-around goal. For this alone, we aim to provide all of them with the best experience we can give them and here we can use your help.

Each year our team identifies key improvements outside of our normal operating budget that can positively impact our team’s performance and boost our players’ morale. This year, a portion of your thoughtful gifts will go toward new uniforms and travel gear, but most it will fund our annual “Spring Training Trip” to Florida. This early season trip where we play against some of the nation’s top teams has been huge in helping us qualify for NCAA Regionals, and we’re hoping this year will be the same.

We appreciate all of your kindness and generosity in helping us reach our goals. Without all of your support, our team wouldn’t be in the position we are in now, and for that we truly thank you. We can’t wait for the spring to get started on a new season, and we look forward to seeing you all there.
