About

The Humanoid Robot Club (HRC) is a student-led robotics organization at Purdue University dedicated to building NEMO, a bipedal humanoid robot with future space exploration applications. Founded by Purdue engineering students, HRC brings together members across mechanical design, controls, and software to gain hands-on experience developing cutting-edge robotics from the ground up.

HRC is a fully student-run organization, and every dollar raised goes directly into hardware, components, and infrastructure, not overhead.

Physical AI is the next frontier, and NEMO is putting Purdue students at the center of it, turning heads campus-wide.

Donations will go directly toward NEMO's continued development, covering actuator upgrades and replacements, onboard compute hardware, and testing infrastructure needed to advance the robot from ground walking tests toward reliable locomotion, manipulation, and integrated perception.

Without adequate funding, HRC's ability to source actuators, compute hardware, and testing components will be limited, slowing NEMO's progress toward reliable locomotion. This would set back students' hands-on experience in robotics development and risk Purdue falling behind peer institutions in the fast-moving physical AI space.

We're happy to provide progress updates, demos, or a visit to our workshop in Stewart Center for donors interested in seeing NEMO in person.
