About

Get ready to make an unforgettable impact on May 6! The Providence Day community is coming together once again for our annual Giving Day, where we’ll celebrate and honor the incredible faculty and staff who are truly #BehindEveryCharger. This year, we’re aiming for 364 gifts—one for every amazing faculty and staff member on campus—and we need YOU to help us reach our goal! Throughout the day, we’ll reveal exciting challenges to boost the impact of your gift.

With each gift, our Charger community will have the chance to leave a personal note to the faculty and staff who shaped their family’s PD journey.

🙌🏽75 early gifts will unlock a surprise for the entire student body to honor those who make a difference!

🛍️ The first 10 donors will score PD swag!

🔓 Give early or on May 6 to unlock special challenges:

⭐ Behind Every Charger $25,000 ChallengeIf we reach our goal of 364 donors for Giving Day 2025, a $25,000 gift from three generous Charger families will be unlocked for Providence Day. Nancy and Bruce Downing (Alumni Parents ’12, ’14, ’17, ’19), Debbie Hyde Ricks ’02 and Collin Ricks ’02 (Current Parents ‘33), and Tyhler and Matt Lynch (Current Parents ’28, ’30, ’36) believe in the strength of our community and invite everyone to give in honor of our incredible faculty and staff who inspire, support, and shape our students each day.

⭐ New Family $10,000 Challenge:  Families who were new to PD this school year have a special opportunity to make a big impact for Giving Day!  If 25 new families make their first gift to Providence Day during Giving Day, a generous $10,000 challenge gift from current parents Kristin and Peter Auerbach will be unlocked!  The Auerbachs hope to inspire our newest Charger families to join them in continuing the proud tradition of giving at Providence Day.

⭐ Young Alumni $1,975 Challenge:  Every gift counts—no matter the size. Now through May 6, the Board of Alumni is challenging 50 PD alumni from the Classes of 2015–2024 to make a gift of any amount. Once the goal is met, an additional $1,975 will be unlocked in honor of PD’s very first graduating class!

⭐ Legacy of Generosity $10,000 ChallengeCharger grandparents and alumni parents—your gift has an even greater impact! For Giving Day 2025, alumni parents and grandparents Linda and Bill Swayne and alumni parents Kimberly and Shawn Paulk will make a special $100 donation on behalf of the first 100 grandparents and alumni parents who contribute any amount.

🥤Sip, Sip, Hooray!  Parent Participation Challenge: We hope all parents will make a gift to PD as part of Giving Day.  If each grade level reaches their parent participation goal, the entire faculty and staff will be treated to Smoothie King in May–because they smoothly handle it all!

Let’s make this Giving Day one to remember!
