The Providence Day family are celebrating the teachers, coaches and staff who are #BehindEveryCharger during our third annual Giving Day.
Last year, hundreds of Charger alumni, families, grandparents, alumni parents, faculty and staff came together on Giving Day to set a one-day record number of gifts in support of teaching and learning at PD. This year, our goal is 367 gifts—one for every faculty and staff member on campus.
We invite the entire community to show appreciation for the teachers and staff who are as committed as ever to our Charger students. You can even make your gift in honor of a faculty or staff member, past or present, who has made a lasting impact on you or your family.
Increase the impact of your Giving Day gift with these challenges and matching gifts:
โจ Behind Every Charger $25,000 Challenge In appreciation of Providence Day teachers and staff, an anonymous family has pledged to donate $25,000 if the overall participation goal of 367 donors is reached for Giving Day 2022! These donors hope the entire PD family will join them in celebrating those who are Behind Every Charger.
โจ First 100 Donor Match Collin Ricks '02 and Debbie Ricks '02 (Current Parents '33) will donate $25 for each of the first 100 donors who give to Giving Day, regardless of their gift amount! Get your gift in early to make it go further.
โจ Just for Grandparents and Alumni Parents PD grandparents and alumni parents Bill Swayne and Elaine Largen will give $50 on behalf of each of the first 40 grandparents and parents of alumni to make a gift for Giving Day.
โจ Reunion Class Participation Challenge All classes ending in 0s, 1s, 5s or 6s will be celebrating their reunions on Saturday, May 7 at Symphony Park. As part of the celebrations this year, there will be a competition to see which class can reach the highest overall giving participation (from July 1, 2021 - May 6, 2022). The class with the highest participation will have a special VIP section at the reunion. Giving Day is the perfect time to make a gift and help your class come out on top!
โจ More exciting challenges will be announced throughout the day!
In honor of their son's PD class year of 2035, Current Parents Traci Cherry Cockerham '02 and Tripp Cockerham will make a gift for each of the first 35 donors who give between 2:45 and 5:00 pm today. They hope alumni and parents will be inspired to give and honor the impact of PD faculty and staff past and present!

Thank you to our first 100 donors who helped us fulfill the day's first challenge!
