Since the 1970s, PSU has been a gateway for older adults to reignite their passion for learning. The Senior Adult Learning Center (SALC) allows Oregon residents who are 65 and older to audit up to 8 credit hours per term, year-round, without paying tuition. Funded entirely by generous donations, SALC empowers lifelong learners to thrive.
Lifelong learning is about continual rebirth and renewal of the mind and spirit, and taking classes through SALC contributes to auditors' lives in many meaningful ways.
The SALC staff and its operations are supported entirely through charitable donations. With increased donations, SALC hopes to expand opportunities for seniors to connect and engage with each other and with the greater community.
