Portland Community College’s Veterans Emergency Program Fund supports students who are serving others and are working to build meaningful civilian careers through education. This fund helps bridge student veteran financial gaps by supporting career development opportunities such as mentorship, job readiness, skill-building, and professional tools which help veterans move confidently toward long-term careers.
At the same time, unexpected financial emergencies can quickly derail a student’s progress. A car repair, housing disruption, or sudden medical expense can mean the difference between staying enrolled or stepping away from school.
Your gifts help to address unexpected financial emergencies which remain one of the leading reasons students pause or abandon their education. By providing timely support, the fund helps veterans remain in class, continue progressing toward graduation, and avoid setbacks that could delay their career goals.
