The Outreach and Advocacy Project (OAP) is a confidential program dedicated to providing support and resources to students who have been harmed by dating and relationship violence, sexual violence, and stalking.
Program priorities are to provide student-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive advocacy services to all PCC students, increase awareness of services, and systems advocacy to help create an environment where students who have experienced trauma can heal and thrive. OAP has grown recently to include prevention programming, which will focus on increasing students' knowledge about these issues and focusing on culture change initiatives.
We are fundraising to offer emergency financial assistance for students receiving our services. This may include: funds for utilities, groceries, gas, emergency hotel stays, rent and security deposits for safe housing, storage fees, replacement of school supplies, and more depending on the expressed need of the student.
