F-1 International Student Emergency Fund

Our growing population of over 300 international students come from 60+ countries (and counting) to study at PCC on F-1 visas. For many of them, it is the chance of a lifetime to come to the US to study, earn a degree, and learn valuable skills. Additionally, we all benefit from the knowledge and perspectives students from around the world bring to PCC. With international students on our campuses, we are better problem solvers and community builders.

The US rules for students on this visa are extremely strict and allow students only part time, on-campus work. When financial difficulties arise they can greatly impact the student, their families, or their funding sources. With the strict rules for work opportunities for international students, this can create extreme financial hardship for them.

Emergency funds are for unexpected and urgent expenses and not meant as ongoing support.
