ESOL Program

The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Fund assists immigrants and refugees who cannot afford English classes or textbooks. Our students come from every continent and speak nearly a hundred different languages. They come from countries wracked by war, famine, and poverty. They have often spent years in refugee camps and suffered horrors we can barely imagine. Our community is stronger when all of its members are equipped to be self-sufficient. This starts with education and education starts with English. Our students need to improve their language skills in order to more easily support their families, help their children in school, protect themselves from exploitation, participate fully in society, or work towards becoming citizens.
