Rise to Teach

Our program is a scholarship/student support program with a special focus on recruiting individuals from historically underrepresented groups to the teaching profession. The program is a partnership between PCC, Portland State University, Portland Public Schools (PPS), and Beaverton School District (BSD), and offers students who are committed to becoming teachers a supported pathway to earn their degrees starting at PCC and finishing at PSU. The majority of our students are first-generation college students.

Since the scholarship only covers tuition, your gift assists us in providing PCC students with stipends to help cover the cost of books and other curriculum materials and be able to offer small emergency grants to students.
