CLEAR Clinic is raising funds to support our criminal record expungement program, which is currently almost entirely volunteer-operated. Our criminal record expungement program seeks to right some of the wrongs wrought by the drug war, over-policing and mass incarceration of communities of color, and the criminalization of poverty.
We provide the following free legal services, targeted toward reducing barriers to success and increasing the well-being of our community members:
- Criminal record and eviction expungements
- DACA renewals and immigration legal screenings
- Limited scope deportation defense services
- Eviction legal defense for Portland residents
- Legal name and gender-marker changes
- Other referrals for legal services, PCC resources, and community-based resources
