Need-blind admissions and generous financial aid packages open the door for each Pomona College student to fully access every transformational opportunity Pomona can give them. Recently named a top 10 school for "Best Financial Aid" by The Princeton Review, Pomona’s ability to provide generous, loan-free financial packages makes its need-blind admissions priority a reality and guarantees that every qualified admitted student will be made financially able to attend Pomona.
Throughout their time at the College, students regularly share about impactful experiences with faculty and staff, student organizations and support centers, and academics and hands-on learning that transform their life paths and goals, setting their trajectory for life after graduation. Need-based scholarships make all of this possible.
One of only 1% of schools in the U.S. that practice need-blind admissions and meet the full demonstrated need of the student, Pomona provides an average aid award of $53,000. A crucial part of every financial aid package, need-based scholarships are awarded to nearly 60% of students at Pomona.
