Ballroom DanceSport Club & Competitive Team

Founded in Spring 2024, Point Park’s Competitive Ballroom & Latin DanceSport Team is already ranked among the top five collegiate teams in the country and proudly holds the title of USA National Formation Champions (WDSF). The team is raising funds to travel internationally to the 100th anniversary of the Blackpool Dance Festival in May 2026—the oldest and largest ballroom competition in the world.

Team members train multiple days each week in International Latin, American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz), and American Rhythm (ChaCha, Rumba, Swing, Mambo).

The Ballroom DanceSport Club welcomes students of all backgrounds to learn ballroom and social dance, attend events, and perform. With three levels of student- and professional-led classes, the organization serves dancers of all experience levels. Advanced team members also mentor newcomers, many of whom are stepping onto the dance floor for the first time.

This sport is extremely expensive, and our goal is to help our dancers achieve their dreams. We appreciate all the support given to help us succeed.
