Join us on Saturday, February 18th, 2023 for PLNU's third annual “We Are Loma 5K,” supporting the Loma Fund. We encourage all PLNU alumni, current students, staff, faculty & friends of PLNU to participate!
In-Person
Our in-person 5K will take place on Saturday, February 18th at 8:00 a.m. on PLNU's main campus. Relive your college days walking PLNU's campus, reminiscing about dorm life, and taking in the views once again.
Virtual
The virtual 5K is a 3.1-mile walk/run that can be completed at any pace, from any location, at any time on Saturday, February 18th. Represent PLNU and show your Loma pride from wherever you are in the world and know that you're connected to the greater PLNU family.
Registration fees will benefit the Loma Fund. All registrants will receive a 2023 PLNU Homecoming t-shirt and race bib. *Virtual participants - be sure to register by February 3rd to receive your t-shirt and race bib in time for the 5K! You may still participate in the 5K if you miss the registration deadline (Feb. 3), but we will no longer be able to guarantee delivery of the materials before the 5K for those participating virtually.

T-shirt/incentive pick-up times and locations will be emailed to participants the week prior to the race and will be shipped to virtual participants only.
Challenges & Prizes
All participants are encouraged to wear PLNU gear during the 5K, follow PLNU Alumni on Instagram, and tag or direct-message @PLNUAlumni in social media posts while using #weareloma5k. Join us in person or virtually and compete against other alumni, students, faculty/staff, and university friends for spirit and participation prizes!

Details for those participating in-person on the PLNU Campus
As you prepare for Saturday, please keep the following in mind.
Location: PLNU Track & Soccer Field | 3900 Lomaland Dr. San Diego, CA 92106
*We've been closely monitoring the weather and rain might be on the forecast! The We Are Loma 5K will begin from the PLNU Track & Soccer Field at 8 AM - rain or shine!
Parking is open across campus. Parking attendants will be present to direct all attendees as they arrive to campus.
Schedule:
7 a.m. - Check In Opens on the Soccer Field
7:50 a.m. - Stretches and pre-race rally, led by the Women's Volleyball Team
8 a.m. - Fun Run begins
Maps of the 5K route can be picked up at the 5K Check In Booth or downloaded HERE!
Grab your Homecoming Shirt! Registration incentives can be picked up at the Alumni Hub (Campus Mall, near the Ryan Library) on Friday, Feb 18 (3 - 7:30 p.m.) or at the 5K Check in Booth at the Soccer Field on Saturday morning.
The PLNU Community will be Overflowing with School Spirit! On campus, the student body has turned the 5K into a dorm room competition and the PLNU Community will be overflowing with school spirit! Come decked out in your green and gold and come ready to compete in several challenges.
