The first PA Giving Day has come to a close - we reached over 2,900 donors in 24 hours, many more than our original goal of 1,778 donors.
Trustee Louis Elson ’80, P’12, ’15, ’17 issued a challenge to the Andover community to inspire 1,778 donors in 24 hours for $75,000 in support of term scholarships.
The Andover community met that challenge.
To continue the momentum after reaching the initial goal, Louis offered an additional $25,000 if 500 more members of the Andover community make a gift now, for a total 2,600 in 24 hours.
Thank you to all members of the Andover community that helped make PA Giving day a success, especially alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends that made gifts to support Andover's mission.

Our Goal
1778 (Phillips Academy’s founding year) + 1829 (Abbot Academy’s founding year) = 3,607 donors
For every 1,000 donors who give, Trustee Amy Falls ’82, P’19, ’21, will release $25,000 to support PA Giving Day scholarships. And if we hit our total goal of 3,607 donors, we'll unlock the full $100,000—creating four scholarships for deserving Andover students.

2836 days ago by Kristin FaivreYou have given generously of yourselves, providing a solid foundation for PA students, faculty, and staff.

You stepped up in unprecedented fashion. Donors came from all walks of life: long-time alums, trustees, new and past parents, recent graduates, and much more!
Thank you!
As of right now, you have successfully met two of Trustee Louis Elson '80, P'12, '15, '17’s challenges, unlocking two term scholarships. In addition, you have also completed two matching donations set up by some very generous friends of the Academy.
Thank you for your dedication and generosity!
But we’re not done yet. We have seventeen unmet matching donations. Help us fulfill these matches by keeping the momentum going strong.
