Palm Beach State College is serving the needs of its Belle Glade campus students with the Belle Glade Teen Center Scholarship, supporting members of the Smith & Moore Family Teen Center and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.
The Foundation for Palm Beach State has launched its campaign to bring opportunities of higher education to young people in the region, which sees some of the highest unemployment rates in Palm Beach County.
The scholarship provides not only a path to college readiness but also a pipeline of highly qualified individuals to the local and regional workforce, contributing their own economic mobility and the further development of the County.
Scholarship recipients can receive up to $1,500 per year to pursue an associate degree or career certificate from any Palm Beach State campus. Priority is given to students enrolled in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) courses as well as industry, manufacturing, construction and transportation programs.
