Gifts to Study Abroad: Ireland contribute to...
During spring break 2026, Olivet students have the opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape, rich history and unique culture of Ireland during a short-term study abroad program.
Although the trip is hosted by the English Dept., it is open to students across campus and can be used in conjunction with a course that meets during the spring semester, replacing either a general education three-credit literature course or an intercultural requirement. The course helps enrich student experience by exploring the history, literature and culture of Ireland before taking the trip and provides the opportunity for students to reflect on the entire experience after the trip concludes.
It may be the experience of a lifetime for many of these students and help them to understand another culture on a much deeper level than would be possible in a typical classroom setting.
The cost of the trip – including airfare, lodging, breakfasts and some dinners, a tour guide, and entrance into all scheduled outings is $4,320 per student. Some students are very close to making their final payments but others may lose this opportunity to experience another culture firsthand in the absence of additional funding.
We would so appreciate it if you could help these students make this dream a reality.
