Gifts to Rudy Spiese contribute to...
Hello there! My name is Rudy Spiese! I am a freshman at Olivet Nazarene University, studying Pastoral Ministry! I am a member of the Tigers Marching Band and plan to get more involved with student ministries in the coming months!
Over these past few months at Olivet, I have been given countless opportunities to grow as a son, student, brother, friend, and—most importantly—as a child of God. I came here during a very pivotal year, having received a call to ministry in January of 2025. The most influential figure in my life is my mother, who passed away from breast cancer in July of this year. Before she went home, she told me a few very important things. She told me to love others with all I can, to appreciate what I have in the moment, and to live with grace. The faith you see now is the product of that love which God gave me through my mother.
In May of 2026, I will be traveling to Zambia, a beautiful country with an even more beautiful people in south-central Africa. The people of Zambia are an awe inspiring crowd, pressing ever forward despite hardship, and with a reverence and love for God so great that it can only be described as miraculous. They live in conditions with much less than the creature comforts that we so take for granted—a testimony to their pure and intense faith, which I am certain is like nothing I have seen before.
In Zambia, the team and I will be ministering to the people, sharing the love of God and His grace as it is shown in the scriptures. We will engage with local, rural populations, teaching them the way of Christ, and experiencing life alongside them, in all its trials and glories. Furthermore, we will interact with local church staff, sharing theological knowledge and enabling them to share the beauty and wisdom of Christ with their congregations to an even greater extent beyond our time with them. I am beyond excited to be with the people of Zambia and to see the work our God has done in their lives, and what he will do in them through the team, and in us through them.
With this being said, I would like to ask for your financial support in this mission! Each donation serves to provide a means for Christ’s work on Earth. Lives will certainly be changed in His work in Zambia this summer, and here you have an opportunity to partake in that! While I do ask for your financial support, I ask more importantly, for your spiritual presence with me in prayer. However you may decide to give—in finance, prayer, or both; I thank you endlessly for your love and support, and may our Lord Christ be with you in all that you do. Have an amazing day!
