Toby Gallion

Hello! I'm Toby, and I'm currently a junior at Olivet Nazarene University studying biology with a minor in chemistry.

I have been involved in marching band and music ensembles in the past couple years and love the community and friends I found there. I'm on the worship team at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church, and my girlfriend and I go to services at River Valley Christian Fellowship on the Sundays I'm not scheduled. On top of keeping up with classes, I'm working on getting my EMT certification, planning an independent honors research project, and studying for the MCAT!

The family I have found here at Olivet has been such a blessing and has helped me strengthen my walk with Christ in so many ways. With Christian professors and leaders constantly supporting me, I've found myself overwhelmed with love as I've traversed this academic and spiritual journey, and I have seen my character being molded more and more into the person Christ has called me to be.

This coming summer, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Papua New Guinea for a Shalom Project mission trip! I am beyond excited to see what the Lord has in store for this one. There, I will be shadowing missionary doctors at the Nazarene Hospital, working at off-site clinics, working side by side with missionaries, and most importantly, being open to anything that God has for us!

I have absolute confidence that God will use this mission to strengthen my own faith as well as the rest of our team. I cannot wait to see the ways that He works through this! While I'm excited to serve on this trip, I will need help raising money to make this possible. Most of all, I would appreciate your prayers as I prepare for this trip and begin to raise some funds!
