Davarey McClain

Hello! My name is Davarey McClain, and I am a senior at Olivet Nazarene University!

I switched my major to Youth Ministry, which has been a huge blessing from above, and I also help the school with sports ministry. Olivet has granted me the ability to become a leader in the community I serve, whether that be in the church or on campus.

This coming spring break, Shalom Project is establishing numerous ministry trips both in the country and internationally. This spring, my amazing team and I will be serving in Inez, Kentucky, where we get the opportunity to serve elementary schools, women in recovery, people in need of food supplies, and many more tasks.

The individuals come from poverty, but their hearts are rich in spirit because they rely on God's strength daily. I will get to experience and learn more about Inez, Kentucky, further on the extra day we have. While this is a wonderful way to serve, I will need help in raising the funds to attend this trip.
