Hello, thanks for stopping by!

I'm Avery, a Junior at Olivet Nazarene University, studying English, Writing, and Sociology (with a business minor for fun!). Olivet has allowed me to grow so much throughout my time here and I have been so blessed by my experiences - from professors taking me to coffee, meeting friends to play games and do homework, and feeling the presence of God in everyday life.

This coming spring break (March 2026), the Shalom Project is organizing various ministry trips both in the country and internationally. I have the amazing opportunity to return to Quito, Ecuador to support and learn from the community there! Since returning from Ecuador in March 2025, I have prayed daily for the people I met and the places I visited. Last year, my team helped run a soccer school for kids, served the community through physical labor projects, and supported local ministries, which we hope to continue doing this year. I'll also get to experience and explore Ecuador further on our extra day.
