Hi! I'm Mallory, a junior at Olivet Nazarene University studying biology on the pre-Physician Assistant track. Over the past few years, ONU has become more than just a place to learn- it's been a space where my faith, friendships, and future have grown in ways I never expected. I've been blessed to be a part of a community that encourages both academic excellence and spiritual depth, and now I have the incredible opportunity to take that spirit beyond campus.
This coming spring break, I'll be traveling to the Dominican Republic with the Shalom Project for a ministry trip that combines service, outreach, and joy. We'll be working alongside local communities to help build churches, creating spaces where people can gather, worship, and find hope. But ministry doesn't stop at the construction site- we'll also be sharing God's love through sports and other recreational activities, connecting with kids and families through laughter, play, and meaningful conversation. The Dominican Republic is known for its vibrant culture, beautiful landscapes, and warm-hearted people. I'm excited not only to serve but to learn from the community, to listen to their stories, and to witness how God is already moving there. We'll also have a day to explore and reflect, soaking in the beauty of the island and the richness of its culture.
This trip is a chance to live out my faith in action, and I truly believe God will use this experience to stretch and shape me in powerful ways. While I'm beyond excited, I'll need help raising the funds to make this journey possible. If you feel led to support me- through prayer, encouragement, or donation- I'd be incredibly grateful. Thank you for walking with me as I prepare to step into this adventure. I can't wait to see how God shows up in every moment!
