Ashley Bylsma

Hi! I am Ashley Bylsma, and I am a senior at Olivet Nazarene University! I am currently studying Early Childhood Education and involved in a club called Christian Education Association, serving at Awana at a local church, and participating in intramural volleyball. I have grown so much in my second year at Olivet, and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to go to school here.

This coming spring, Shalom Project is sending out various ministry trips to all over the world. I have the incredible opportunity to be a part of the Dominican Republic trip and to serve the people and communities within the town of Santiago. This is a cool way to get immersed in a culture so different from America. While this is an exciting and awesome adventure, I will need help raising the funds to take part in the trip. We will be working with our partnering organization GO Ministries to provide support to the local communities. GO Ministries is a global missions organization with a mission to empower local leaders to make disciples through church planting, community development, and medical and sports initiatives. We will be participating in construction efforts of the local community church, along with working with local children and teachers in the community school system. All these efforts and activities are to strengthen the local community church as members of those churches strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus within their community.
