Hi! My name is Briana Whalen, and I'm a junior studying nursing at Olivet Nazarene University.
At school, I work at the Rockwall and enjoy running: this year I even ran the Chicago Marathon with the Olivet World Vision team! I also love film photography and exploring God's creation!
This spring break, I have the awesome opportunity to go on a Shalom Project ministry trip to the Dominican Republic. We will be traveling to a church called "Fe y Gloria", located in a town called Gualsaqui. The church has become a spiritual and community center in the town of Gualsaqui which provides many resources to the community. On this trip, my team and I will help wherever we can, which usually involves construction projects, leading youth activities, and providing health initiatives to strengthen relationships with families.
This is an exciting and significant endeavor, but I will need YOUR support in order to embark on it. Please be in prayer for my team and I as we prepare to step out in faith. Pray that the Lord would prepare my heart to serve the people of Gualsaqui. Finally, please pray that the Lord would provide the funds for me to be able to go on this trip.
