Lauren Beatty

Hi! I am Lauren Beatty. I teach as an adjunct professor in the Department of Communications at Olivet Nazarene University, in addition to working in the Office of Marketing as a staff writer and editor. I've had the privilege of traveling around the world for academic, work and volunteer trips—multiple of which have been in conjunction with Olivet. These travel opportunities have been incredibly impactful personally & professionally, and I love Olivet's continued commitment to providing students with chances to serve as they also get to explore God's handiwork in new places.

The Department of Communication has organized a ministry trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina, through the Shalom Project at Olivet. From May 11-22, 2026, our team of students and faculty will be leading a media camp for the region to encourage the talented local people in their skills and abilities.

I'm very excited to teach about public relations, writing and social media—topics I've taught to undergraduate students at Olivet & skills that I get to use in my daily work. We will also get to experience the culture of the capital city. I am so excited to engage with the amazing work that God is already doing through his people in Argentina!
