Caislyn Hummel

When you want God's plan over your own... I'm Caislyn, a senior at Olivet, and I am so excited for God to use my life for His Kingdom in Argentina this May! Graduating December of 2025, I anticipated to get a jumpstart in the media industry being a Multimedia Communications double major... But God has something else in store.

Before studying abroad in the Czech Republic May 2025, the Lord put on my heart a foreshadowing that Spanish would need to become a part of my skillset. But Czech people don't speak Spanish! Having connections in Argentina I am still in contact with, I felt another nudge from God. It all made sense when Shalom Project announced the Argentina mission trip. My team and I will be creating a workshop conference for surrounding countries to attend and learn about media production. We will be in Argentina May 11th-22nd to teach an estimated 200 attendees.

My media experience at ONU has prepared me greatly for this next journey. Working as Camera Director and Operator for Olivet's live events, being an On-Air Personality for radio shows and videographer for both Olivet men's and women's soccer teams, I will be able to help others on their production journeys. As I prepare for this, I need help funding the plane tickets and hosting accommodations while there.

Please pray that my team and I would open our hearts in preparation to teach others about the passions and talents God has given us! Thank you for your support, whether by prayer or donation, each are greatly needed. Putting on pause my post-grad career comes from the confidence that the Lord will provide as I keep my eyes fixed on Him. The need for media in Kingdom building in South America is greatly needed; I am excited for what will come out of this workshop conference!
