Coach's Message

When Cari and I first stepped onto the course as coaches four years ago, we started with a single, dedicated student-athlete. Today, we are proud to celebrate a full, thriving roster of young women who have transitioned from high school stand-outs to committed collegiate competitors.

The growth we’ve seen is remarkable. It’s not just about filling the roster, though—the real story is in the numbers. Our team's scores have dropped significantly over the last few seasons.

However, our vision for the future is even bolder: we are ready to expand our roster, recruit more experienced talent, and cultivate a competitive environment where every player pushes each other to consistently post the low scores needed to compete at the highest levels of collegiate athletics.

To elevate our program to the next level and attract top-tier talent, we have identified three key areas where your investment will have an immediate, transformative impact:

1. Premium Course Access: We are working to secure upgraded, consistent access to a premier golf facility. Providing our players with a top-tier practice facility is the ultimate "game-changer." It not only gives our current team the competitive edge they need to hone their craft, but it also signals to prospective recruits that OWU is a serious home for championship golf.

2. Enhancing Our State-of-the-Art Indoor Facility: Our Trackman simulator anchors off-season training. We need our technology in top shape to keep players at their best. Your support helps maintain high-use surfaces, simulator screens, and essential software. We also aim to expand our indoor space so more players can train at once!

3. Competitive Readiness & Tournament Support: To win, our athletes need to play against the best at the top courses. More funding lets us schedule strategic rounds and prepare for every environment. We will also provide professional-grade yardage books, helping players compete confidently and lower scores.
