For Norwich Men's Rugby, this challenge represents much more than a fundraising opportunity. It is a chance to strengthen the foundation of a program built on tradition, commitment, discipline, and brotherhood.
Over the years, Men’s Rugby has established itself as a competitive force on the national collegiate stage, earning multiple national championship appearances and developing student athletes who embody the values of Norwich University both on and off the pitch. The program's success reflects the dedication of its players, coaches, alumni, and supporters who have helped build a tradition that continues to grow with each passing season.

New chapter in Norwich Rugby
With the introduction of Head Coach, Carrick Pell, the Cadet’s look to continue the tradition and brotherhood of Norwich Men’s Rugby. Pell, after a highly successful tenure as head coach of the Babson College men's rugby program, where he helped transform the Beavers into one of the top collegiate rugby programs in the country. Succeeding longtime head coach Bob Weggler, who retired after 25 years leading the Cadets and more than four decades of collegiate coaching service.
The Fall season ended with a 4-2 overall record, falling short in their final matchup against undefeated Boston University. But now looking onwards to the Spring 7’s season, where the Cadet’s will be participating in the renowned Cianci 7’s tournament in Seekonk, MA, on November 22nd, to an early kick off for the Spring!
