BLEEDING INTERVENTION TRAINER
The integration of the North American Rescue (NAR) Bleeding Intervention Trainer into the Northwest College EMS Education Program aligns directly with our mission to equip competent, entry-level EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics across the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains.
Given that hemorrhage continues to be a leading cause of preventable trauma-related mortality, this high-fidelity task trainer serves as a crucial "bridge" between theoretical understanding and decisive action in the field. Its patented SoftTech® materials and integrated fluid delivery system provides a level of tactile realism that standard mannequins cannot achieve, enabling students to cultivate the muscle memory essential for practical wound packing and tourniquet application under simulated pressure.
By incorporating this durable, mobile solution into our curriculum, we ensure our students meet the rigorous standards set by PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) guidelines and graduate with the clinical judgment and confidence necessary to save lives in high-stress, real-world emergencies.
