Gifts to School of Education contribute to...
NSU has been preparing teachers since 1901 when Northern Normal and Industrial School was established. Now, the Millicent Atkins School of Education houses 25 majors with over 800 students. Each department (Teacher Education, Psychology/Counselor Education, and Sports Sciences) is focused on student-centric instruction that incorporates authentic innovative strategies for training students to excel in the field of education. The School of Education is a very special place where a culture of mutual respect has been established and the spirit of collaboration, service, exploration, and purpose unites our faculty and students. Graduates are empowered to impactful contributions around the world as they have chosen careers that truly serve society.
Having scholarships available to recruit students to the School of Education is important. Our students do not enter these fields for the large paychecks they'll receive, and the reality of having to repay college loans is sometimes harsh. Increased scholarships will aid students in graduating with a smaller amount of debt. GiveNDay is an exciting opportunity to GIVE in support of students and programs in the School of Education. Your contributions will help promote the education profession, to assist students with tuition, develop programs and spaces for preparing 21st century leaders in education, and ultimately provide the highest quality training for Millicent Atkins School of Education students.
