CHANCE is asking you to SHOW UP for something that truly matters.

The Leroy Mitchell Expendable Scholarship for CHANCE at Northern Illinois University exists for one critical reason—the finish line.

Right now, there are CHANCE students who have done everything right… They’ve stayed in school, worked hard, and are this close to graduating, but they’re running out of financial aid.

And the question becomes, Do I finish… or do I walk away?

That’s where The Mitchell Match comes in.

For the next 24 hours, April 1st 12 pm to April 2nd at 12pm we have an opportunity to step in and make sure that doesn’t happen. This scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. Leroy Mitchell, a man who helped shape thousands of lives through the CHANCE Program—impacting over 10,000 students since 1968.

Now it’s our turn.

• The 58 for ’68 Match CHANCE has been a staple at Northern Illinois University for 58 years, since our founding in 1968—a legacy of access, opportunity, and student success.
• The Director will give $580 when we secure 10 donations of $58 or more
