The Office of Student Engagement & Belonging (OSEB) creates a sense of belonging and inclusiveness for all students here at NC! Our goal is to promote personal development, prosocial behavior, and social intelligence by fostering student leadership skills. We educate and inspire the campus community to discover and experience the value of cultivating cross-cultural, interpersonal relationships. We provide students with support, mentorship, and guidance, create spaces for students to engage in dialogue and extracurricular learning, and drive student connection and fun!

Your gift will enrich the student engagement and belonging experience through the following initiatives:

• Sankofa Experience spring break trip (domestic study opportunity)
• Women of Color Empowerment Luncheon
• Multicultural Peer Education
• Cultural heritage & identity-oriented programs

These initiatives support students to:

• build social connections with the campus community to strengthen sense of belonging
• embrace new experiences and challenges to boost self-esteem
• embody leadership development, self-advocacy, and empowerment
