Gifts to Golf contribute to...
Since its founding in 1964, the same year Wesleyan graduated its first class, the NC Wesleyan golf program has grown into a proud tradition. Today, the team welcomes student-athletes from Eastern North Carolina, Florida, Argentina, Spain, and Canada, creating a diverse and competitive squad. Under the leadership of Coach Mac Sykes ’80, the Bishops are a close-knit group who call Belmont Lake Golf Club home during the fall season.
Success extends beyond the course. Last year, Wesleyan Golf earned the PLATFORM Academic Award from the Golf Coaches Association of America with a 3.4 team GPA. This fall, the Bishops will proudly host the Don Scalf Memorial Invitational, honoring the program’s first coach. In addition, the team will take part in a local charity initiative, giving back to the community they proudly represent.
On and off the course, these young men embody what it means to be a Bishop. Looking ahead, their next goal is a team trip to Pinehurst, the golf capital of the world, where they will sharpen their skills and grow together as competitors. With your support, Wesleyan Golf can make this opportunity a reality. Stand with our Bishops and help them continue building excellence #ForWesleyan!
