A small team of NC State student and alumni engineers are working to transform disaster response with the REACHR project. This advanced Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), will reduce response times, expand accessibility, and enhance disaster relief coordination. REACHR is setting a new standard in emergency response—saving more lives, in less time, and at lower costs.
Your contribution directly supports research, development, and field testing in collaboration with FEMA and emergency response teams.

Funds will be placed in the Aerospace Projects - MAE. If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, exceeds the project need, or the project cannot be completed, the funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the Aerospace Engineering program. Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
We did it, Wolfpack! Thanks to your support, we've met our initial fundraising goal and unlocked our NASA grant.
Now, let's go even further. Reaching our new goal of $6,000 will directly enhance the REACHR project's technical success and enrich our students' learning experience.
Your continued donations will provide:
- Enhanced equipment: Higher-grade transmitters and ground station gear for improved reliability and safety.
- Extended testing: More flight tests to gather data across diverse conditions and ensure thorough validation.
Help us finish strong!
