Goal #3: $10,000
The Cascade area in front of the Ruby C. McSwain Education Center is one of the most popular places for visitors to relax and enjoy the gardens. After years of heavy use, the current rocking chairs are beginning to show their age.
The JCRA is seeking support to replace the existing pair of rockers and expand the seating area to include two pairs of rocking chairs, providing more visitors with a comfortable place to sit, relax and enjoy the sound of moving water.
Our goal is to raise an additional $5,000, bringing the campaign's total to $10,000 to support the replacement of our trailers, battery-powered equipment and rocking chairs.
Funds will be placed in the JCRA Director's Special Projects Fund (010824/661080). If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, exceeds the project need, or the project cannot be completed, the funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the JC Raulston Arboretum. Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
