First in the Pack is dedicated to first-generation college students who are boldly shaping new paths, not just for themselves, but for their families and communities. We understand the challenges these trailblazers face, and we celebrate every extraordinary triumph they achieve.
As our remarkable seniors prepare to graduate, we are committed to honoring their journey and recognizing the unwavering support of their parents and families. That’s why we’re excited to launch “From First to Future,” a dedicated effort uniting our alumni and friends to ensure that both graduates and their families feel the strength and support of the entire Pack as they celebrate this historic milestone together.
Why It Matters
For first-generation students and families, graduation is more than a ceremony—it’s the culmination of years of resilience, hard work and unshakeable determination. By providing distinctive graduation medallions, we empower each graduate to carry their story with pride.
Equally important is the event itself. The graduation reception will be a celebration of unity and joy, bringing together graduates, their families, and the mentors who have walked with them. It’s a chance to reflect on the journey, share successes, build new connections and create cherished memories before launching into their next chapter.
How You Help
- Graduation Medallions: Your support helps us provide this meaningful keepsake to every graduating First in the Pack student. More than a medal, it represents a legacy: the hopes of families, the perseverance of students, and the belief that being first opens the doors for many who follow.
- Graduation Reception: Your generosity supports a vibrant and inclusive celebration where students and their loved ones come together in pride and gratitude, strengthening the bonds of our Pack.
Funds will be placed in the Student Support Services/TRIO Program Enhancement Fund. If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, if it receives more funds than it needs, or if the project cannot be completed, funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the TRIO program. Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
