Blue and Gold Racing

The Blue and Gold Racing team is one of the most exciting new student organizations at North Carolina A&T State University, competing in the prestigious Formula SAE Electric competition. Universities worldwide come together to design, build, and race to see who has the best electric car, and we’re aiming for the top!

Our team consists of seven specialized sub-teams, including Powertrain, Electrical, Aerodynamics, and Public Relations, all working together to build a world-class car. Each member plays a hands-on role in ensuring we meet competition standards and perform at our best.

We are planning to compete at the Formula SAE competition in Michigan during June of 2026. Our goal for this event is to win Rookie of the Year, which is only awarded to teams during their first year of competition. Your support will help us reach this milestone and establish a lasting legacy at NCAT. By joining us as a partner, you’re not only supporting our team—you’re becoming part of a driven, talented family striving for excellence.

Our fundraising goal is reflective of our Bill Of Materials which includes steel for the chassis, carbon fiber for our body panels, tires, wheels, components for our battery, and the electric motor. Beyond the car, funds will also be used to register and transport the car to and from the competition as well as for other miscellaneous operating expenses.
