The American Classics Theatre (TACT) is a new NYU Tisch club dedicated to reimagining what it means to stage “American classics.” Our mission is to create opportunities for all students across NYU to make theater at a professional level. This spring, we are proud to present our One Acts Festival consisting of The Backflip by Catherine Butterfield, Intervention by Anne Washburn, and Enigma by Floyd Dell and our full length production of The Children's Hour by Lillian Hellman.
Your support is what makes this possible. Every dollar raised helps to empower directors, actors, designers, and stage managers to bring these ambitious productions to life. With your generosity, we can secure performance spaces, obtain performance rights, and create sets, costumes, lighting, and sound designs that fully realize these productions
Most importantly, your gift helps ensure that theater remains accessible to the NYU community. By keeping tickets affordable, we can share bold, collaborative, and inspiring work with a wide audience, making theater a space for connection and creativity for all.
Student theater is where the next generation of artists learn to tell stories that matter. With your help, we can continue to build a space where students collaborate, take creative risks, and bring bold, ambitious theater to life. Thank you for supporting us, it makes all the difference.
