NYU Arc-Robotics Team Ultraviolet 2026

Welcome to NYU ARC: Team UltraViolet (formerly RoboMaster)! We are a fast-growing, passionate team of students dedicated to showcasing our engineering talents at the annual ARC Competition. Established by Da-Jiang Innovations (DJI) in 2013, the ARC program serves as a premier platform for robotics competitions and academic exchange, drawing thousands of attendees every year and amassing over 1.95 million online viewers.

Our Journey

We made our debut in the RoboMaster North American (currently ARC) Series during the summer of 2021, where we proudly secured 3rd place in the league. The following year, we competed in the RoboMaster University League North America Lone Star Competition 2022, achieving a 4th-place finish. Since 2025, RMNA has been rebranded as ARC.

Looking Ahead

Our future plans involve building a fleet of four cutting-edge, specialized robots. While the bots are primarily driven remotely by our team, they also feature advanced machine vision and AI subsystems. Our Mechanical and Electrical teams primarily work at NYU's Maker Garage, while our Computer Vision (CV) and embedded systems teams complete tasks at the NYU Game Innovation Lab.

Support Our Mission

We aim to measure up against hundreds of other universities in the competition. Contributions directly fund the materials needed to keep us on the cutting edge—industry-level machine vision cameras, custom-made printed circuit boards (PCBs), upgraded onboard computers, and more.

STEM as a Sport

We believe STEM should be as exciting and competitive as any sport. Our team culture revolves around building a strong, tight-knit community while teaching our students what it’s like working in a professional team.
