The Eloy Torrez Family Learning Communities in Engineering Fund
Earning a degree in engineering can be a difficult endeavor, but thousands of NMSU students have succeeded in their journey to become engineers with assistance through the Eloy Torrez Family Learning Communities in Engineering. A generous gift made in 2017 by NMSU electrical engineering alum Eloy Torrez โ70 was the beginning of the nearly 8,000 square-foot renovated suite where students can receive tutoring from faculty and peer mentors in math, science and core engineering courses on a drop-by basis, five days a week. Staff members identify students who are at risk and offer them assistance so they can stay on the path to success. Your gifts will keep this growing resource alive by ensuring the success of future engineering students.
