Arrowhead -NMSU Student Entrepreneurs
More and more students are interested in pursuing business creation while they complete their education. Established in 2011, Arrowhead Center’s Studio G, NMSU’s college and university student business accelerator, guides students in the exploration of entrepreneurial concepts by applying the principles of lean methodology. However, most students lack adequate funding to realize their business ideas. While Arrowhead Center provides education, training, services, networking opportunities, and mentorship to student entrepreneurs, many cannot advance their businesses without financial assistance.
Contributions to Arrowhead’s Studio G make available critical capital to promising students who are balancing their business ventures, academic obligations, and other responsibilities. Gifts will be used to provide grants to students for startup business costs such as business registration, website development, marketing, travel to relevant industry conferences, intellectual property protection, and prototype development,
Students complete a semester-long training curriculum covering specific models and deliverables designed to bolster the prospects of their businesses. Additionally, Arrowhead team members work individually with the student entrepreneurs to address their unique concerns, and within cohorts of student startups on shared challenges. Finally, advisors from a variety of professional fields volunteer as part of the Arrowhead Innovation Network to assist emerging entrepreneurs.
Previous and existing students who received startup support have registered their businesses and began bringing in revenue, advanced their technologies and filed patents, significantly increased their client bases, and identified funding opportunities.
There is a $5 minimum gift amount – donations are very much appreciated and will make a difference to an enterprising student.
