As the Executive Director of GROW Licking County Community Improvement Corporation, Nate Strum makes a visible difference in his community, bringing jobs, investment and community pride. “The greatest satisfaction I can ask for is to be a change agent for my community.”

He previously served as the Director of Economic Development for the Licking County Chamber of Commerce, Project Manager for the Regional Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC) of Southwestern Pennsylvania, Business Development Specialist for Allegheny County Economic Development (Pennsylvania), and Planner/Zoning Administrator of the City of Zanesville.

Nate earned his Muskingum Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in political science and communication, and he holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Ohio University’s George H. Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs.

He has been honored by his peers with the International Economic Development Council’s Gold Award for Excellence in Economic Development Programming and by The Newark Advocate with its “20 Under 40” award.

Nate and his wife Christina (Christy) Kaminski-Strum ’06 reside in Heath, Ohio.
