Throughout his career in manufacturing and distribution leadership, Ed Pesicka has helped meet the needs of the healthcare, biotechnology, and scientific research industries. During the manufacturing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, he quickly became recognized as a national spokesperson, receiving invitations to the White House for presidential press conferences and being widely interviewed on news media outlets.

Since 2019, Ed has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of global healthcare solutions company Owens & Minor Inc., which manufactures and distributes medical and surgical supplies, and provides related services in supply chain management, logistics, and technology to healthcare customers. “ My greatest satisfaction is being able to lead and develop others at a company that makes a difference in human life.”

Ed earned his Muskingum Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Management and Accounting and a minor in Communications. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) degree from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. Prior to joining Owens & Minor, Ed served Thermo Fisher Scientific Corporation – capping a 15-year tenure there as Chief Commercial Office and Senior Vice President; TRW Inc.; and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He and his wife Wendy reside in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. They are the proud parents of Madison (23) and Jacob (21).
