For 53 years, Dotti Humm’s dedication to improving the health and well-being of others has changed the daily lives of residents throughout her community of greater Rochester, New York.

As the Owner of The Preferred Nutritionist since 1997, she coaches and consults with adult clients, helping to manage their health and reduce risk factors for serious chronic illnesses such as diabetes. She previously served as the county-wide Director of Meals on Wheels; on the faculty of the School of Food, Hotel & Tourism Management at Rochester Institute of Technology; and as a consultant dietitian and nutritionist for residential and heath care facilities.

Dotti majored in Liberal Arts at Muskingum. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics (Dietetics) from Drexel University and a Master of Business Administration (Management) degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a leader among her peers in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at the local, state, and national levels, serving in multiple elected and appointed leadership positions, and authoring numerous publications and presentations.

She and her husband Larry Humm ’64, retired SUNY Brockport administrator and professional ski instructor, reside in Brockport, New York.
